Description
Through this service the e-puertobilbao platform makes available a new service to its community of users. It means that the Ship-brokers that use our platform to send their Cargo Lists to the fiscal safeguard/customs and/or the Stevedoring Terminal can use this information to draw up their Maritime Cargo Manifests on the basis of it.
It is a service designed to facilitate the administrative processing relating to the goods declaration in export operations (Maritime Cargo Manifest) by using, as the origin, the information in the customs verification of the cargo lists for export.
Target Group
Once the cargo lists for export have been crossed with the clearance notifications from Customs, this service, which is geared towards Shipping agents companies, conceptually allows the verified information to be used to propose a Maritime Cargo Manifest that the user will need to complete with the necessary information.
It also channels certain information towards other agents. These include the Invoicing Department and Customs Agents involved indirectly in the processing for the purpose of facilitating the flow of information towards other processes and players throughout the port logistics chain.
Advantages
Its competitive advantages are those relating to the concepts of a electronic sigle-window. The single-window enables the paper presentation to be replaced by the electronic dispatch of information to the e-puertobilbao platform.
That means that the hard copy is done away with, the management of the information is speeded up and the information existing in the system is reused.
The concept of information reuse allows the information already existing in the system (Clearance Notifications and Cargo Lists) to be used as the starting point for processing the Maritime Cargo Manifests. That way the information is put to good use, and any errors arising out of the repeated transmissions of information between all the players involved in the operation are thus minimized.
